FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • All cakes are bespoke - this means that there is no set price list. Pricing is dependant on size, flavours selected and complexity of design.

    Starting prices are approximately £4.50 per generous portion and £3.35 per cupcake (minimum order 12).

  • It’s best to get in touch once you have your date and venue confirmed. I work on a first in basis and take a limited number of orders. Certain months fill up particularly fast as a result of the busy wedding season. It’s always in your best interest to secure your booking sooner rather than later.

    • CELEBRATION CAKES

    Once I have provided a quote for your cake, you will need to secure the booking with a non-refundable 50% deposit. The final balance will be payable 7 days prior to delivery/pick up date. Should you place an order within 1 week to your event, the full balance will need to be paid when booking.

    • WEDDINGS

    After the basic details of your wedding are confirmed, a detailed brief of your cake will be provided. You will be sent a booking form to complete along with the terms and conditions, you must agree to these before paying a non-refundable £100 booking fee. If no deposit has been received within 7 days from your detailed brief, the date will become available again and no longer held for you. The remainder is payable 4 weeks prior to your wedding. Should you place an order within 4 weeks up to your wedding, the full balance will need to be paid when booking.

    Please note that I do not make tentative bookings. Bookings are only confirmed once a (non-refundable) deposit has been paid. 

  • I specialise in creatively crafted and modern buttercream cakes. I use Swiss meringue buttercream in and outside of the cake.

    As awesome as they are, novelty cakes covered in fondant and adorned in figurines is not my thing!

  • I don’t use the traditional fondant covering style on my cakes. Instead, I use fondant to craft abstract elements and textures.

    Need figurines? I have some great supplies I can order these from so give me a heads up!

  • It depends on what you want to change and my availability at the time. Please give me at least 5 days notice via email and I can let you know if I can accommodate your change.

    All updated orders will be confirmed via email. No order information should be changed via phone call or social media.

  • It's best eaten within 48 hours but the cakes can last up to 5-7 days depending on flavours chose.

    As a general rule and weather depending – cold days take out 3-6 hours prior, hot days take out an hour to an hour and a half prior to serving so that cake can come to room temperature. No one likes cold cake! Please make a judgement call though – if it’s really hot rather be safe than sorry. The cake will react to heat as butter would so keep that in mind!

    It’s really important that you bring the cake to room temperature before serving (do not microwave to do this). Make sure you keep it away from any form of heat or direct sunlight.

    Leftover cake freezes really well too, just FYI!

    Make sure your cars air conditioning is on and that you’ve put the cake box flat on the floor of your car and not on your seats. We don’t recommend driving for more than 4 hours with a cake in the car.

  • Cakes can be collected from Orston, Nottingham.

    Wednesday - Saturday.

  • I work in a kitchen with nuts, gluten, dairy and other allergens. If you have an allergy, please inform me. While I'll do my best to avoid contact, I can’t guarantee it due to frequent use. Ordering is at your own risk.

  • Yes! Tasting boxes cost £28, include 6 flavours and sent to your chosen address. If you’d prefer a sit down consultation then this is also available. Please get in contact via email for more details or pre-order your tasting box here.

  • All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. For wedding cakes and orders over £150, cancellations made within 4 weeks of the scheduled date will require full payment with no refund given. For all other orders, cancellations within 7 days will not receive a refund, as it is unlikely the slot can be filled on short notice. Additionally, any funds spent on ingredients, materials, or time already invested in your order will not be refunded. Rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
